History

This special formula was developed by herbal-midwife Miss Hortence Robinson for women who have more serious uterine conditions needing some extra herbal support.  It was made by Miss Hortence to address uterine fibroids, ovarian fibroids, uterine polyps and endometriosis.  Miss Hortence has been a midwife for the past 60 years and is a well-respected traditional healer.  She is a founder member of the Traditional Healers foundation.

The astringency of this herbal formula has the effect of pinching off the blood supply to the fibroids, polyps and errant uterine tissue (endometriosis).  Without a blood supply, the fibroids or polyps loosen and fall away from their connection to the lining of the uterus or ovary.  Other herbs in this formula work as a uterine flush to assist the body in eliminating the fibroids and polyps vaginally.  When this happens one is likely to see some material flush out with the menstruation that looks like large clots and pieces of flesh-like matter.  There is likely to be an increase in the amount of menstrual flow and the number of days.

Dosage
Take two teaspoons of the tincture three times daily before meals in a half glass of room temperature water.  If you forget to take it between meals, take it when you remember.  Once the period begins, you should stop taking the herbs until three days after you finish menstruating.  On the first day of your period take one teaspoonful of castor oil in a half glass of orange juice around mid-afternoon.  Repeat this for three menstrual cycles.

If you do not see the fibroids, polyps or endometrial tissue pass out vaginally within this three-month period, it may be that you have intramural fibroids.  These are fibroids that have grown into the wall of the uterus and may be much harder to dislodge with natural treatments.  If this is the case, take dosage as above for three months, stop for one month and repeat for another three months.
